Why is this test done?

The ASKA test helps in diagnosing or supporting the diagnosis of:

  • Autoimmune hepatitis type 1

  • Myasthenia gravis (MG) – especially with thymoma

  • Thymoma-related autoimmune disorders

  • Rarely, it may be positive in:

    • Primary biliary cholangitis
