CT Scan Brain or CT Scan Head is an imaging technique that uses X-rays to create cross-sectional images of the head. Note that CT Scans involve X-Ray radiation, and are not recommended for pregnant patients.
A CT Brain/Head scan is typically used to:
Detect head injuries (bleeding, fractures)
Evaluate stroke or brain hemorrhage
Identify brain tumors or masses
Diagnose hydrocephalus (fluid buildup)
Detect infections (abscess, encephalitis)
Evaluate severe headaches or neurological symptoms
Assess causes of confusion, seizures, or loss of consciousness
Test Preparation:
Male: No Special Preparation. Informed Consent Required..
Female: For Female patiens in reproductive age group, LMP is required. Otherwise, Urine Pregnancy Test is needed.
